Directions on how to make your own Paper Plate Bumble Bee
Step 1.
Paint the entire paper plate yellow

Step 2.
Use a pencil to make where you want the black stripes to go. Paint 2 black stripes at the bottom of the paper plate with black paint after the yellow paper plate has dried. Make sure you leave a small gap of yellow between the stripes.
Note: It can be tricky to get straight straight lines but it gives you the opportunity to work on your hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.

Step 3.
Use your pencil to sketch out where you want the bees mouth and eyes. Go over the mouth with black paint.
Step 4.
Glue on your googly eyes.

Step 5.
Cut out a small triangle which will be the bee's stinger. Paint the triangle black. Glue or tape on the bee’s stinger to the back of the paper plate. Whenever I have to attach something to the curved parts of the paper plate, I prefer to use sticky tape.

Step 6.
Cut out two bee wings. I folded the blue paper in half and drew a capital B shape and cut it out, this creates the two wings. I also painted the wings a darker blue as I accidentally got black paint on the paper whilst handling it.

Step 7.
On the back of the paper plate sticky tape the two bee’s wings to either side of the plate.

Step 8.
Cut your pipe cleaner into 2 these will be the bee's antennae. Flip the paper plate back over again and attach the bee’s antennae to the back of the paper plate with sticky tape.
